Acer palmatum 'Hogyoku'This Japanese Maple cultivar is best known for its bright pumpkin orange color in fall. The name means Golden Jewel of Fall. This is smaller deciduous tree that grows to 15 in height and 10 in width. It has an upright shape. In the spring and summer the leaves are an attractive rich green. The leaves have a pointy palm shape. In warmer climates it sometimes has yellow leaves in the fall that have orange and red washed across them.
