Maple Burl Artwork #12This intriguing maple burl (an abnormal growth pattern on trees) made quite a striking piece of art! It is mounted atop sugar maple. Measures approximately 10" high. What you see at the top (what looks like Swiss cheese!) is the fact that there was some decaying wood there and I used a Dremel tool to remove it. You've never seen this exact piece of art before, I guarantee you!
