Maple Burl #2417Each carved burl is a unique piece. When carving, we strive to follow the naturally grown exterior form to achieve a balance between the natural exterior and our smooth carved interior. 18" x 12"x 9" We buried this burl in the ground under wood shavings to age and darken. Once aged to our satisfaction, we carve, dry, sand and finish the burl over the course of a month.
