Eocene Green River Undescribed Beetle IF-PCM-16-072Undescribed Beetle (Coleoptera) Green River Formation Middle Eocene Lincoln County, Wyoming This is a very good large undescribed beetle from the 18 inch layer. The very front part of the head is missing but the thorax and abdomen have excellent preservation. The elytra are somewhat spread, and the wings and delicate venation are visible. The specimen is part and counterpart. This may be a boring beetle of the family Buprestidae.
