Summer DuskAbstracted impressionist landscape. I love the end of the day, dusk is very fleeting, and I enjoy the changing shadows and colours. This painting is an attempt to capture that fading light and intense colour in my summer garden. I use lots of layers of water colour like Golden acrylic paint, and slowly build up the shades and tones that make the painting.
