Two delicate birds sit atop the lid surrounded with ceramic pearls. The technique used in the creation of this work is actually the Korean Sanggam technique most famously used in Goryeo celadon pottery (10th 14th centuries) This involves incising designs into the clay surface (Intaglio) and then inlaying those carved lines with contrasting coloured
