Wait for me!"Wait for me!" is a piece that I completed from a reference photo I took at our cottage on Clear Lake, part of the Rideau waterway. Every Spring Summer the mergansers would arrive and raise their young. Our waterfront is sandy and shallow for the first 200 feet which attracts lots fish and minnows, so an excellent supply of feed for the hungry chicks. This particular summer, she had a full brood of 11 which I must say would have kept her very busy.
